As Vice President of Strategy and Business Development for the Parsons Transportation Group, Steve Mayer focuses on the firm’s organic and acquisition growth initiatives. His work includes performing due diligence for acquisitions and assisting the corporation in key business pursuits internationally. In addition, Steve serves as a professional interview coach for business development. He is the former General Manager of the Peace Bridge Authority, which connects Buffalo, NY and Southern Ontario, Canada in one of the east coast’s busiest trade corridors. Steve is a Past President of IBTTA (2005) and an Honorary Member. Each year he serves as an instructor in IBTTA’s Leadership Academy teaching a session entitled, “The Leader as Strategist.” Additionally, Steve is an adjunct professor at Niagara University teaching courses in international management, business strategy, and technology commercialization. He was the Assistant Professor and Director for the University’s Technology Commercialization Clinic for six years where he instructed students in entrepreneurship and commercializing new products. Steve holds Bachelor of Science degrees in civil engineering, an MBA, and a Doctorate degree in the field of Economic Geography, World Business and International Trade. Steve is a licensed professional engineer in NY and FL.
